The Best time is to visit during the initial winters that is near about October to November because of less snowfall. Because generally it gets heavy in December and January and getting stuck up will be issue.

Hi varsha I would say almost every time is good to visit himachal but it totally depends on you. What kind of Himachal you want to see .. like a snowy one or the greenery or the rustic. Every month has its own beauty attached. I would only ask you to miss the months of May end till July end as these months face heavy rainfall.

Hi Varsha, preferable month to visit Himachal Pradesh would highly depend on what you are expecting from it. If you need a bit of snow and a bit of greenery at the same time then November and Dcember will be the month for you. But if you are willing to go to extreme places like Lahaul-Spiti then i would suggest summers so as to complete the circuit.
You can expect a lot of snowfall in most of the locations in January and February.
With that being said, Himachal Pradesh has everything for your every need, you just need to explore what you are expecting and you will get a precise location to go to.

Himachal Pradesh is the best tourist destination during summer. Cool climatic conditions attract people all over the world. Summer starts in the month of March and lasts till June. These two months are the best months to visit Himachal Pradesh where temperature downs to best level, thunderstorms and mild showers give us pleasant feeling. Rivers, hill station locations, Kangra Valley, Spiti Valley , Manali, forests take us to next level of happiness. So, better you plan your trip in between March to June.

May June July. and if you want witness snow you can visit during winters means Dec, Jan Feb and march
