Though Kashmir is mesmerizing through out the year but winters are really special. The entire valley is covered with a blanket of snow. Places like Gulmarg turns into a wonderland. December to February is the best time to visit Gulmarg in Kashmir during winter season. While maximum temperature occasionally touches 10 degrees Celsius the minimum temperature comes down to -8 degrees Celsius. So do carry good and warm jackets/sweaters with you. Have a memorable trip to paradise!
Upvote (1)CommentIts depends on the tourist and travellers ...if a particular tourist want to enjoy a whole adventure activities , culture, food and everything in gulmarg they can go in may to October ..and those tourist who want to enjoy cool weather , snowfall, whites mountains ,a perfect hill station , and want to enjou snow based activities the can come in the month of November to march and best time to visit in gulmarg in winter is January because there will be a heavy snowfall during this period of time...

I suggest you to visit in mid January. You would be able to cover everything it is famous for aka skiing, snow, snowfall, snow covered mountains
