Mussoorie is definitely beautiful with its slow life laced by the hustle bustle of the touristy crowds. I would recommend a peaceful stay in any Airbnb or Resort away from Mussoorie and spend 1/2 days in exploring Mussoorie on foot, enjoying the sunset and heading back to the silence away from the hilly town. I would recommend La Ri Sa resort. Very beautiful to spend some quality time in Himalayas !!
Hi Rajeev, Dhanaulti is around 50 – 60 minutes from the Mall road at Mussoorie and has quite a few options of adventure sports there. If you are travelling with a group of friends, Dhanaulti is a better place to stay in than Mussoorie. As far as the distance is concerned, Dhanaulti is nearer compared to Chakrata. You can also cover Mussoorie, Kempty fall, Kanatal, while planning for Dhanaulti.
Mussoorie is just another traffic jam now day with parking issues, so between between the other two Kanatal is better than Dhanulti for sure if you looking for nature, views and serene environment
Kanatal is 6 hours from Delhi on a 4 lane highway up to Chamba which is 12 km from Kanatal.
