Surrounded by ample nature, beautiful views and peaks that are beyond the word beautiful, in the state of Uttarakhand at Tunganath Rudraprayag district is located worlds highest Lord Shiva temple which is 1000 years old. Myth story says, this temple is one among the Pancha Kedars built by Pandavas who asked help from Lord Shiva to fight Kauravas. This temple is open only during summer, that from Chopta you have to trek to the temple.

Tungnath is one of the highest Shiva temples in the world and is the highest of the five Panch Kedar temples located in the Rudraprayag district, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
