There is Gir Safari website available and i would suggest go with sharing mini bus as they will.charges so costly around 2500 per jeep and only 3..4 more closer points which you can see with mini bus also.

You should get the permit from forest department and to go inside the forest with personal car it is very risk job

You can get only permit from this website but as per my suggestion, We should book our tour from some tour operators, because they provide excellent package like Transfer, Accommodation and Jeep safari in Gir. I have booked one of the best packages from Gir Forest Website. I visited last week of December; they were taking care of whole journey. They provided best service from start to end journey.
