Best season to visit Amritsar is from Oct - April. Summer are really hot. Places to visit are 1. Golden temple, 2. Jalaiwala bagh and 3. Wagha Border.

When you are near to Golden temple, there is a big market... All food corners and hotels are there... But if really want to enjoy the taste.. Must go for lunger.. Jalliawala bagh is near to golden temple(walking distance) and have have all the stuff you can like too..

Jallianwala Bagh(Don't forget to watch a movie of the actual massacre) -Durgiana Tirath(Place where Krishna Ji came himself, a temple full of gold replicating Golden Temple) -Historical buildings of Hall Gate and Khalsa college(PS-Those who love architecture buildings, you can have pul kanjari, hall gate, Khalsa college and inside old city) -Retreat ceremony at Wagha(25 km in the west) and feel the joy of being an Indian, it will affect your soul {Take ice-cold water/coke prehand} -Ram Tirath Temple(actual place where Luv and Kush, sons of Lord Rama were born) -Mata Lala Devi temple(Address-Model Town, Opp. Shivaji Park, Nr. Rani Ka Bagh, North Amritsar) if you really want to remember Vaishno Devi, its a must a temple of caves. Amritsar is also called 'Food capital of country' for its delicious food- If you are there, your visit is incomplete without -BHRAWANA DHABA OR KESAR DA DHABA(BOTH IN KATRA JAIMAL SINGH, CITY CENTRE) -Amritsar kulcha(At brijwasi or Krishna) -Amritsari firni(At longowali temple or Durgiana Temple) -And yes, Sweet Mouthwatering Amritsari Lassi at Surely world famous Ahuja lassi(opposite Hindu sabha college, City center) Good Luck!! Hi Pulkit, Best time is between November to March. I made the mistake of visiting Amritsar in April with my parents and it was very hot. My dad almost had a heat stroke in Wagah border. Coming back to things to see/do. Visit Golden temple, Jalianabagh, Hall bazar, Wagah border, Harmandir Sahib temple, Akal takht, Gobindgarh fort and Sunflower fields. Happy Travelling!

Hi, best time to visit Amritsar is during the months of Nov to March. Weather remains cool during this time. I think winter is the best i.e. October to February. Jallianwala bagh, golden Temple and wagah border are must visit places. If you are foodie and shopaholic, Amritsar is really good.

October Nov,Feb, March would be ideal to visit amritsar..it's not a good idea to travel to amritsar either in extreme summers or extreme winters. You can visit the golden temple, jaliian wala bagh, the market and wagah border. Do visit kesar dhaba and brothers dhaba for authentic punjabi food!!

Hello Amritsar is a wonderful place to visit in India it's a heaven available to us. I have visited Amritsar 3 times. it's a place to just forget about calories and just eat out it. Time for visiting perfect would be between Oct-march as it's little cold little hot,avoid visiting this in summers. great places to visit in Amritsar are: Golden temple( harmandir sahib) please attend the Langer available 24*7. Jallianwala Bagh (great place just walking distance from here,place where around 379 were killed and around 1000 wounded, story of this terrible bloodbath is expressed in martys gallery at the place.) wagah border 29 km from here beating retreat is must ,around 1000s people gather here for the flags ceremony MOST IMPORTANT FOOD PARADISE PLEASE TRY AMRITSARI KHULCHA BARHWAN DA DHABA AHUJAS LASSI KESAR DA DHABA (OPEN SINCE 1916) JUST HIT THIS PLACE pocket friendly rooms available nearby busses and trains run throughout for heading to Amritsar. AGAIN it's a wonderful place to visit you can give a short near Holi also. tip. carry small backpack as it's crowded place small backpack would be perfect to enjoy either r solo or with someone.

Just skip summer and Amritsar is always amazing. Golden temple - if possible visit both day n night time, attend one of the gurbani and eat at the langar. wagah border - this will definitely fill you with pride and joy. not to be missed. retreat ceremony of India and Pakistan is a treat to watch. jallianwala bagh gobindgarh fort do not miss Punjabi food, garma garam parathe in a local dhaba , halwa. and lassi once u in Amritsar.

You can visit from Aug-Nov or Feb to Apr the weather will be good at that time. Also you can visit wagha border(Make sure to reach there early to get good seats) , jalia wala Bagh(near to golden temple). Also you can visit partition museum their light show is must to watchi (unique and breathtaking).

Feb to april,before start of summer or september to december you can visit there, Golden temple jalianwala bagh wagah border and you should try punjabi food also on restro or dhabha
