I would like to mention few places which are not common.
1- shuka vana
shuka vana (parrot park) is a rehabilitation center for birds in the serene premises of shri gampathy sachchidananda ashram. This park has numerous of rare species of parrots from the world over
2- Blue lagoon
blue lagoon island is about 4 kms from KRS dam
this is a small enchanting island created by the backwater of KRS dam.
3- venugopal swamy temple
The Temple is located at Hosa Kannambadi, Near krishna raja sagara, is example of hoysala architecture in Karnataka. This temple was built in the 12th century AD around the same time as the cheenakesava temple at somanathapura, Mysore district.
4-Karanji lake, Sand Museum, Balmuri/Edmuri Falls
