It is safe but beware of pickpockets.Its common in Paris even during the day.
Gare de Nord is centre and u can stay there
2 days are quite less but don't forget to go to:
1) Eiffel tower
2) Louvre museum
3) Disney land for sure (yea but two days are way too less)
4) Notredame
