Hi Shyam, hahah! Well, when you take a solo trip, you will eventually end up meeting strangers on the way! Movies are a portrayal of real life, in many ways (though they add things that are quite unreal at times!)

It is definitely possible! I love such kind of trips and I have found that there are two easy ways to go about it.
The best way to make new friends while travelling is to stay at a hostel. Providing a social space for travellers from different places and walks of life is the point of a hostel! Most of them have common spaces where you can meet new and interesting people. Hostels also regularly organise in-house activities, parties as well as group excursions. Other than that, you can travel with new-age travel companies that organise group trips. There are some reliable options out there. One I personally know of is 'Chindi Safar'. I recommend you to also go through stories of others making new friends while travelling on Tripoto. You never know where and how inspiration can strike you! Maybe as you read others' stories, you'll find some interesting ways to make friends while travelling yourself. Attaching a few interesting articles I found on the platform that you might like. Hey, start travelling solo, stay at hostels and have an open heart. You will always find amazing people who can be your friends. otherwise, you can join trek groups, where your companions will mostly be strangers. good luck :)

Go solo, stay in hostels, use public transport, you will meet plenty of like minded people! I've met some amazing people on treks and trust me, I've found great friends :)
