August isn't good time for Derahdun..Monsoons will be there.. I think Middle of October would be a good time for Derahdun Mussouri..

Dear fellow traveler, personally I don't think it's the right time to travel. In the month of august the monsoon is in full swing in this region, so I advise you to postpone your trip till the month of October.

The weather ain't good and the Dehradun highway is getting worked at, right now. Road condition will be worse due to monsoon.

Masoorie is all time good place to travel as it is the nearest hill station with lowest base
