Valparai, tamil nadu If you need an offbeat place apart from major tourist destination, then you have valparai. Not much far from kerala.Away from the horns. A road trip in valparai is the best.Being a hill with 42 major hairpin bends makes your trip a thrilling one.Don't worry the road will be very good. But be sure of your driving skills. there you have around 9 dams which divert the waters of west( towards arabian sea) flowing rivers to east( towards bay of bengal) through a lot of canal, tunnels and has a hidden destination there a countur canal flowing through dense forest.Make sure you have someone local with you. Rent will be super cheap compared to other popular destinations. make sure you have a dip in kulangalaaru river stream before leaving valparai
