Silk Route is one most favorite destination in Sikkim due to it's variety. Every destination is deferent from other, nature changes her beauty every 10 k.m.
We started our journey from NJP station on 15th May this year. Our first destination was Sillery Gaon which is approx. 93 k.m. from Njp. We reached Sillery Gaon roughly around 01.30 pm and took our lunch. Sillery gaon is a very small village but now loosing it's beauty due to over crowd. Still we enjoyed a lot and went to Remity view point which is only a 4k.m trek from our homestay. The road was amazing, we spotted few birds also. We heard that the view from Remity View point is awesome but due to foggy weather we can't see much. Rest of the day was nothing special.
Next day 16th May we started our journey towards Zuluk. We stopped at Rongli for permit and at Kewkhola water falls in between. The falls was nice one. We reached Zuluk arround 2pm. Rest of the day we roam around our homestay and it;s nothing special.
17th May was the most important day in this trip. After breakfast we started our journey and our first stop was Thambi view point from where you can see the mesmerizing view of 92 bends of Silk Route. The view was awesome we spent a lots of time over there. A small cafe was there and we took momos and coffee and that enhanced the beauty of the place to next level. We reached Lungthung which is around 12300 feet above sea level. The view of Mount Kanchenjunga is one of the best view I ever seen. we witness sunset from Lungthung and no word can describe the beauty.
18th May we visited other points like Nathang Valley, Old Baba Temple, Kupup lake and Kupup bazar and returned same way to Rishi Khola. Khola means river, our homestay was just at the bank of Rishi river. We relaxed rest of the day.
19th May after early lunch we came back to NJP to catch train to Kolkata.
This trip was a package trip NJP to NJP. Package cost was ₹7500per head for 6 heads inclusive all. For permit
