The oldest food street of Kolkata, Dacres Lane or James Hickey Sarani serves one of the best food in the city. The famous dishes in the old food joints and shops, like chicken stew and loaves, still keep to the quality and trend of the colonial period. One can walk through the lane to see food joints crowded with loyal office-going customers. The famous shops like Chitto Dar Dokan, Apanjan, Hindu Hotel etc remain completely full during the lunch time.
