Short Trip to Mandarmani and Shankarpur Beach

Suddenly with a thought of quick weekend we started for Mandarmani in the Saturday evening. The road was quite good and we had our snacks in New Tarama Restaurent in Kolkaghat.  We reached  there by night. The hotel we booked through travel app didn't work so we had to take another hotel named Eco Villa near Mandarmani beach with beach view. It is a cottage system hotel so it was nice and our kids liked the cottage too. As it was late and we were tired so we took food and went to sleep so that next day we can enjoy as much as possible.

In the morning right after the sunrise we were up and went to the beach to collect shells but we were very happy to find not only beautiful shells but 2 live starfishes, sea creatures, jellyfish, counch shell, cowries. We got very hungry so right after that we went for breakfast. When the breakfast got over as we were supposed to leave that day so we went to take bath in the sea and moreover enjoyed speedboat there. My 9 year old and 7 years old got so excited after their first experience of speedboat that they didn't want to leave sea. Then about 11 or 11-30 am we started for Kolkata. Suddenly we changed our mind and went to visit Shankar put beach. The beach is under West Bengal Fisheries Department and  nice beach with small shops. We tasted maggi  and crab curry there. The beach is very simple and silent with very few people. We saw many ships from far away and many fishermen were pulling net from the sea. After sitting there for a while we started our journey back. On the way we had our lunch probably by 3-30 to 4 pm at Sher-E-Punjab Kolaghat. Though it was weekend so it was fully packed there and we had to wait for a long time in the queue but at last the food was awesome and we enjoyed very much. Then we started for home and reached by 6 to 6-30 pm. It was a nice short trip for us.
