Deulti was the home of Bengali novelist Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay in his later years. It is in Howrah district of West Bengal . The river Rupnarayan is just a distance away from this home. It is said that he used to sit in his study room and watch the beautiful Rupnarayan while writing his masterpieces. He wrote 'Biprodas' ,his last novel,from here .
His house is now maintained by his grandchildren living in Kolkata but there is an old man;working as caretaker : a very enthusiast person who will eagerly tell one all the stories of this house and Sarat Chandra.
A pond is located just opposite the house and the caretaker told that Sarat Chandra's "Ramer Sumoti" has mention of this pond .
The river Rupnarayan is very close the house. Many people feast at the bank of Rupnarayan.
A resort named Nirala resort is just meters away from the house which is well maintained and people take lodge there if they plan to stay night. Otherwise it is a one day trip.

To reach here by train one need to board into Howrah - Medinipur or Howrah- Panskura local and board off at Deulti station .
