This trip didn't happen in its proper way, it could have been better. Money trouble is the big factor for bachelors but somehow we managed this cause we always find a cheapest & handy way. we reached New Alipurduar Jn by kanchankanya express. It is the only one express train that runs through the Dooars. There is state bus, but bus timing is very odd that's why we booked a car from New Alipurduar jn and our destination was jayanti.

To enter into the huge national park one have to take permission. I'm not sure but the charges was approx 60 Rs for students, vehicle & camera charges were different. we were not exceptional so we paid for this. At evening we reached Jayanti. it's a very small village. Our home stay was pre booked that's why we didn't face any trouble. Next day our plan was to reach Mahakal.

It's famous for butterflies and natural beauty. There is two Mahakal- Boro Mahakal & Choto Mahakal. we easily reached choto Mahakal by trekking. But boro Mahakal was far way from choto mahakal and the way wasn't good, that's why we couldn't make it possible. We heard that in boro mahakal, there is a sacred shiv mandir.

So downheartedly we came back to hotel. Our next day plan was phenomenal, Buxa fort and lepchakha. For this next day morning we reached santalikhola at first. It's a trekking route of 14km and you can't go without guide, so we took our guide. Mr. james bhutia was our guide, he is one of the finest man I've ever met. We started our journey towards lepchakha. My two friends are wild life photographer that's why they took photos of birds and other creatures. one thing Buxa Tiger reserve is a heaven for birder.

At first we touched down Buxa fort. I can surely tell you that, this place was damn good at the time of British regime. Do not wasting time we started our journey towards Lepchakha from Buxa fort. After trekking we came at a beautiful place called "Lepchakha". Basically it's a little village at the top of the mountain and also the highest point of Dooars. Bhutan border is approx 12km from lepchakha. The view from Lepchakha was marvelous. I was literally drooling over this beauty. We constructed some strong memories there. I'm sharing some photos of this trip.
