Kalimpong: A stepping stone

The quaint Hillstation Kalimpong is situated in the northern part of eastern Indian state of West Bengal and in close proximity to international border with Bhutan on the east and China on North-West has always boosted of having quality education from age old renowned educational institutions. A Roadtrip from Kolkata to Kalimpong turned out to be stepping stone for me to take on long strenuous driving on the mountain roads. As I am from the plains of India, I have always found Himalayas as an escape from all the stress that life can possibly throw at. This time the travel to Himalayan Hillstation of Kalimpong were even more exciting as this was also an opportunity for me to overcome the fear of driving through blind hairpin bends on the mountain roads. And as we reached Kalimpong, we were greeted with cool breeze and pollution less atmosphere, without the annoying honking of cars as on city roads. The weather as it was in Kalimpong created a dreamy effect with all mist around and birds chirping their way back in the evening. You are such a bliss oh you Kalimpong.
