Reached Kozhikode Railway Station by 8am in morning, took cab from Kozhikode to Kalpetta (75km). It will take 3-4 hours to reach Kalpetta. After refreshing visit Banashura sagar Dam, which is very beautiful place.
Day 2 -
Start by morning 10am to the falls, you will reach in 90mins, as it is 50km from kalpetta. you even need to trek for 1 hour to reach the waterfall. Once coming back to city, do shopping and enjoy the kerala style fish.
edakkal cave are situated at height of 1200m, you need to start early for this place to avoid any rush, and you need to trek up for 1.5 km to see old caves, roadside shops are present. A degree of 15-30 degree upright angle the trek is done.It is very tiring for old people.
Chembra peak trek was one of the best trek for me in the entire trip.you will get a guide along with your group to take you to the top of the mountain. Sits at the height of 2100m, it is one of the highest mountain here. carry lot of water with you, go slowly, it will be tiring but,beautiful experince, will take around 4 hours up and down to complete the trek.
