And today, I am going to present Banasura sagar Dam. No, it's not the largest dam in world....There is nothing specific about it other than being largest earthen dam in India. What made it so specific that I decided to write about it here?
Well, those islands in reservoir. Yes, when I saw pictures of Banasuara Dam reservoir, I was amazed seeing islands in it. I want to visit it, the traveler soul in me made a wish. Luckily, I did not have to wait much.
Trekking and boating are the major attraction for tourists here. Trekking in the dark forests of Banasuara peak is an adventure that you will remember for lifetime. But boating in the lake will give you goose bumps when you will see layers of mountain peaks shadowed in different colors. And I screamed with excitement when the boatman almost flipped the motorboat and asked with smile on his face, maza aaya?
The long walking trek beside reservoir gives 360 degree view of beautiful Banasuara hills.
Walking under large solar panels while looking at floating solar panels in reservoir was a sight, I will always remember....
