we started our trip to banasura hill in wayanad district of kerala. it was morning 4 am, as it is a hill station, it was very cold outside..one has to wear a 2 layer of clothes to be warm.
we started to go towards our destination using google maps and found very difficult to hold mobile in hands because of the cold weather..
we reached at the base of banasura hill and to go further it was totally off road. one has to take prior permission from the forest department( P.S we didnt take permission - you will soon know the consequences ahead????)
on our way we saw a board of trekking and moved forward.later we came to know below it was written 'trespassers will be prosecuted'.
we reached a place from where the trekking is supposed to be start, but as it was dark and foggy, it was difficult to see the path and we took the wrong way????.
we went into the reserved forest which contained 23 leopards, countless deers and 32wild elephants. it was a untouched paradise inside forest..( WE WERE THE ONLY HUMANS ON PLANET TO GO THERE UP ABOVE THE MOUNTAINS WHICH WAS RESERVED).the forests guard too only go till middle of it and that too with their guns.
we started trekking through the deep forests..it was dark and scary. we could see fresh dungs of elephant and could hear roars unknown.
despise all of this we started and from one hill to the other hill from the forests it took us 2 hours and we reached a place which cannot be described in words...that was so untouched place with the mountains giving a spectacular view..
i could feel all the clouds under my feet.
we relaxed for a while there..after some time we heard a noise from the other side of the hill shouting 'is anyone up there' as we parked our vehicles there and they(forest officials) were furious as no one comes there apart from them.
we gave back reply and started to go down..after two hours of journey through jungle we saw a jeep of forest department????.
my heart started pounding as little i knew we were not supposed to go here. they searched our bags and deleted all the photos taken here from our devices(which i later restored it from a mobile operator????).
the forest officials took us to forest department and told us that it was a reserved forest and shiwed us the records of wild animals there.
we could have been gone to jail and fined.
we apologized a lot.( LITERALLY LOT).
then they allowed us to go after writing a apology letter and submitting home address and parents number.
now that was a hell of a experience for me...
plus the view were worth the efforts we took.
