Oilaa.. it's a trip to second Highest peak of orissa.
Can anyone guess the place ?
Absolutely it's mahendragiri. It has an immense beauty in the lush greens and valleys and weather but god what a type of roads really got fed up with the roads condition. Literally I'm feeling a backache and pain in the ass even by remembering the trip itself.
Started the trip at 2:00 clock in the midnight had a great start to the highway along with other 4 fellow riders had appearances of many rabbits in the way to highway and finally met the highway and ripped the bikes but had a great problem with the cold air as of it is a winter.
Reached the bottom of the mountain by 8:00 am and here comes the real challenge of the bikers where only a very small number of bikers have done to reach the summit by bikes.
It is around 9 km to the peak which is a worst and bad and even afraid of remembering them. Two of our riders attempted to quit the summit approach but finally made it, but my baby never let me down even in all the hardships.
Reached the top by 9:00 am.
OMG ! Riding 9 km took us around 1 hr , i hope this gives a clear picture of the road we have experienced with the absolute zero traffic🤣.
Reached the peak and are almost exhausted and after talking to local people over there came to know need to trek of almost a half km to reach the summit and visit the bhima temple over there.
A 7 hr ride without breakfast and a trek exhausted all the riders and took a power nap at the bhima temple at explored the places around. But i was a bit unhappy because it didn't make me feel worth of coming around 180 km to visit this place but worth of riding experience 🤪.
After completing the first destination started back to the next destination which was planned to be the gandahati waterfalls but lack of time and importance of next destination we cancelled the waterfall and took some rest and good near the water canal and headed over to next destination "jirang monastery".
Had a bad thing happened as my baby got an injury with the breakage in odometer and speedometer wire which disappointed me alot.
jirang monastery is located in the village called chandragiri is a very good place to visit who have a great taste in art and paintings. I was mesmerized to see the tibetan style of paintings around and sculpturing of the idols.
From the entry into the village itself there is a great difference in the culture and livelihood and architecture of bulidings of monastery representative of a Tibetan village.
Eventhough i use the tibetan Buddhist prayer flags to my bike i came to feel the real vibrance of them at this spot. There is a large no. of disciples studying there in the monastery.
later arrived to a shanthi stupa nearby while returning back and spent a bit of time before returning.
Started the return journey back to Vizianagaram via parlekamundi and had a great ride but got fedup with the speedbreakers laid with the fence supporting cement rails. OTDC I hope you will look into it and lay proper speedbreakers.
Reached back to home by 12:30 am in the next year just kidding that is of jan 1st.
The ride of around 22 hr without sleep was mistaken as drunken people , finally made the police to check the breath alcohol test but it's a bit funny to experience.
Atlast finally a beautiful trip came to an end and is of totally around 500km round trip
Celebrated a bit over the new year eve and finally had a great rest.
Finally this is ur tilak signing-off and i hope u enjoyed.
