I went on for a vacation to orissa where my grandmother's family stays.. This trip was to berhampur in orissa.. a small town but well connected with other big cities..
Nearest airport is in bhubaneshwar and vishakapatnam which are at a distance of 2hrs and 5 hrs respectively.
It is well connected by trains and also buses operate by to other cities.
Nearest big city is bhuabaneshwar..
It was a good and a decent trip as it was very humid and very hot there this time. This is the everyday thing there during summers as there is a beach connected to berhampur.. the beach is gopalpur beach. it id very crowded on sundays and you can enjoy tour family time there.. it is neat and very well maintained by the govt of orissa. you can see the streets are vry small so having a car is a dumbfool idea.
There are no uber, ola or any kind of taxi service until you book from a travel agent.
Zomato is available for some of the hotels there..
So you can enjoy your food well on time..
As the streets are small, you will face a lot of traffic jams in your route to any destination within the city, so be careful whilw travelling in the evening.
