Kailasagiri Reviews

Destination : Kailasagiri Hill People call me Freak sometimes because i am freak aboutFitnessandWorkout. Hill is a perfect option for a freak if want some workout. KailasagiriHill is just 400 meter from my PG. I started morning at 0600Hrs, as per plan i have decided to climb-up the hill using stares rather using RopeWay for 100Rs 2-Way. Stares were steep so it was quite hard to climb around 400 steps at once, in the way up to hill, there are few checkpoints where you can have rest and then start again. It took me 15min to climb up the hill. I reached to a developed road that leads to the park at top of the hill. I continued at the road and found a divergent, one is elevated up and other was muddy 'road less travelled' . I decided to take 'Road Less Travelled', i reached the place where there is a board of KAILASGIRIin block banner, i continued and the view of Whole City including the Sea Shoe was clear to me. View is awesome. Just unexpected again, i was pleased and happy. But after Few Steps forward to the path, a group of eagles welcomed me and they just sank my happiness. They started wondering around my head and i backed off from there only and decided to move to "Road everyone Travelled". About 100 meters of Elevated road lead me to the Entrance of Beautiful Garden, Entrance made of Wood. In Early Morning Time, Literally I haven't saw anyone except group of Dogs. I finally entered in the park, and a Pink Train was halted at the station, which charge 150Rs. and takes you to a journey of heaven (complete round view across the hill). I would Recommend you to take ride at Night time. After that, i took a Status of Lord Shiva and Parvati, a great art. Just in front of these status, i finally found a place to rest this is a bench from where whole you will see great hills and sea view of Sagar Nagar Beach. I spend 40 Min at that same place with pleasant air. After that i spend some time in the VIP park that is well clean and maintained, i love this place, Awesome Place and small small Bushes for Couples for their Private Sessions.
The next morning, we boarded our bus for our first stop, Simhachalam temple. The temple is located on Simhachalam hill, dedicated to lord Vishnu who is worshipped there as Varaha Narsimha. For security purpose mobile phones, camera and leather belts are not allowed inside the temple. There was a long queue inside and it took us about an hour to reach the hall where Lord's idol was placed. The idol is covered with sandalwood paste throughout the year and looked beautiful. The visitors are not allowed to go near Narsimha's idol. Our next destination was Kailasgiri park located on a hilltop with a breathtaking, picturesque view of the whole city and the sea shore. As the name suggests, the park has big statues of Lord Shiva and goddess Parwati. For the tourists to enjoy the scenic beauty of Vizag, there are rope way facilities and a toy train that takes you around the park. One can enjoy the sea view along with the beautiful park. People can also walk around, relax and eat at the small eating joints while appreciating the scenic beauty. Finally came the highlight of the day, Rushikonda Beach. The beach was crowded with people playing with the waves, walking on the sand, and engaging themselves in adventure activities like, paramotoring which costs about 2500/- for 7 minutes of air time. The beach also has changing room facilities since one can't keep themselves from bathing in the sea. After playing in the sea water and drenching ourselves completely we drooled over some delicious maggie at the beach. Many local souvenir shops and eateries were lined up at the beach, typically maggie points. We returned to out hotel and a perfect day came to an end.
As the saying goes, Save the Best for the last... I knew it has to be the aerial-Top view of Vizag city from the popular KailasagiriHill. Close to the R.K Beach, is this hill which separates the city and the Beach road and gives you the complete 360 degree view of the city. It also has Ropeway carrier from the foot of the Hill and its exciting and thrilling at around Rs.75/- per person both ways. The Hill also has two Gigantic Shiv-Parvati idols and a good park for kids to play. The best way to get gist of the whole Kailasagiri, I suggest you board the Toy train that would take you through the edge of the hill around. Mesmerizing view it was. You can sit there for hours and you would not get bored. For Bachelor Boys, I bet you won't be disappointed looking at Couple around, its Tuition time for you :p ;). Keeping Kailasagiri at the last was the right decision.
I loved the view and i started heading Rishikonda beach. I set my maps and it showed me another 10 kms. I started driving and in the middle i saw a way where i can take my bike nearer to the sea shore( not too nearer but where i can step into waves and can watch my bike). I went there parked my bike and unmounted my luggage(i really wanna step into water). I didnt saw much crowd over there and its hardly 6 members. I think its perfect and i kept my luggage on shore and ran towards water. I spent a decent time of 1.30 hrs over there playing with water and i had a company of two kids where there parents are busy chit chatting. We played and had fun.
After being completely satisfied with the food we set out for sightseeing. We booked an Ola Cab in package and got Mahindra Marazzo. The car was excellent. We first went to Kailasagiriwhich had a ropeway to the top where there was a Shiva Parvathi Idol, a park, a toy train and few eateries. Along with it a great view of the RK Beach. It's a place where you'll like it if you are a local, to come on a weekend and relax, not when you are on a hurried sightseeing. Plus, it was really humid there. Anyways luckily, we went during sunset, so, to watch the sunset from cable car was awesome.
