Qatar being one of the richest countries, is as royal and fascinating as the Emir(king), and one experiences it with their very first step in the country at the HAMAD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
Doha is a city where I met people from all corners of the world, Africans , Americans, Arabs, Filipinos and obviously a lot of Indians.
This morning I visited the lush green Al bidda park. Trust me you need a map here to get back where you started, because this park covers a huge area but also it's greenary is remarkable ..apart from the fact that this country is on a desert land. The park is full of bright colourful flowers. Also one can rent a cycle to visit the entire park.
Qatar has a wonderful collection of malls. Starting from the Mirqab mall and the Al hazm mall which are no less than a palace To the Villagio mall which takes you all over to Venice .It has a beautiful artificial river crossing through the mall and the beautiful blue sky ceiling perfectly adds icing to the cake. Also a perfect place for shopaholics.
Also I missed one , i.e. the Mall of Qatar. Do take some time to visit, as suggested by the locals.
Museum of Islamic Art also termed as MIA has a spectacular park by the ocean ,cool breeze crossing by your hair and a aesthetic Corniche view was no less than heaven.
This museum is a perfect place for antiquarians. One may also get to see some articles from India, Iraq, Turkey and Spain.
Ancient letters from Iran, ornaments from India and Qatar, tiles and utensils from Spain, painting and carpets from India were all a treasure for museum lovers.
SOUQS (local market) are the best attractions in middle East.
Here one can actually experience the essence of middle East and Arabic countries.
Local Market, multi cuisine restaurants, local artists, bands , all glue up to this wonderful place called Souq Waqif.
Pure herbs, flavours, spices, nuts, chocolates, dry fruits, traditional clothes , pets , carpets , jewellery are some special attractions here at the traditional market display ....to name a few.
This Desert land has a treasure of sand dunes .
And how could one not visit these giant dunes of sand when at QATAR.
So here I am riding my 300cc quad bike on the dunes , and that joy was irreplaceable.
Camel rides , sunset and the cool breeze at the dunes firt this unforgettable evening, was just a perfect pack to ask for.
Do not miss the Falcon bird on my hand who didn't appear to be really comfortable there though.😂
Happy exploring.!
