Come I'll show you Banaras,
I went on a trip to Banaras where one of my friend was living, he came with me and helped me a lot in experiencing Banaras deeply.
BANARAS is the oldest city on India.
We started the day by seeing the Ganga aarti on "Assi Ghat" and then went on exploring the streets "Galiyaan" of Banaras, it has plenty to provide!!
After that we went for a Boat Ride in Ganga River, there are many Ghats on bank of River Ganga in Varanasi, it is said that they are more than 80 Ghats,
Some famous Ghats are Manikarnika Ghat, Dasaswamedh Ghat, Assi Ghat, Riva Ghat, GangaMahal Ghat and many more.
After that we went on to Famous Vishwanath Mandir in the Famous university of Banaras, "Banaras Hindu University" also known as BHU!
We had the famous Kachori Jalebi, and Banarsi Pan on the way!
It is said that BHU is one of the ancient university in the history where many legends and warriors studied from indian History, I personally experienced that, it has a VAST campus with every branch of study and faculty their.
After that we had some streets roaming and went to the rooms!!
Second Day started with the Famous Kulhad Chai of Banaras.
Then we went for some local shopping, Banaras is famous for Banarsi Saree, Banarsi Pan, it's local streets, temples, street foods, architecture and it's vast history.
Some famous shopping streets in Varanasi are
Daalmandi, Lanka, Girajaghar and Gadoliya.
After shopping we had lunch and we went on Dasaswamedh Ghat for the Famous Evening Ganga Aarti!! There was huge crowd gathered their for aarti, and trust me it was worth, the evening was best, having cool breeze on face, sounds of bell and chanting, with those big aarti thali's and the saints doing it in proper order touched my heart!!
Aarti was over and still I was feeling it, then my friend brought me into reality and said we have much more tk do,
We went to Gadoliya and had a Banarsi Chatt, that was Yumm!!🤤
And then eating one more Pan we went on to room to end our second day of exploring.
This was the last day, I had time till noon so I woke up early and went to Ghats again and I was mesmerized with the view out their, the silence between the crowd, the peace within, the rituals of holy city, the richness of traditions, people taking morning bath, birds flying above head, sun is about to rise everything was so perfect there!! I lost myself there in the peace and calmness of the city between all that chaos!!
I was sitting there and my friend called me, he asked me to come to Lanka, I went there and then he accompanied me to famous Kal Bhairav temple and after darshan, we went for Brunch, I had "Chole Bhature" and "Bhatti ki Dudh"
And taking my bag on shoulder I returned back with lots of happiness and memories with me!!❤️
I love you Banaras!!💫
