Experiencing Banarasi Charm

A trip to the most ancient city of the world, Varanasi. So, I made this trip because Banaras always fascinated me as a child. With two of my girl friends, I experienced the best of city's colors. A city that holds so many mysteries and is charmingly beautiful with its ancient monuments, majestic ghats and thousands of temples. Ganga being the added charm of the city offers serene views along with pleasant evenings that we spent on its bank. When in Banaras, I would suggest to live the city like an insider, try the local delicacies, stroll around in the narrow streets and interact with the aghorees (who can be easily found on the ghats). Don't try to visit all the "famous places", instead focus on the splendid beauty of chaos that this city holds.
We (me and my girlfriends) visited the following places:  # Kashi Vishwanath temple  # Assi ghat and nearby cafes  # Banaras Hindu university for its splendid beauty  # Kashi chat bhandaar (hell famous!)  # Local markets 
And what I concluded from my experience is that Banaras is not a city, it's a civilisation.
