Green....That is the base colour you will see in plenty in Kerala. If this is "Gods Own Country", then I am sure Green must be gods favorite color.
I have been a traveler for almost 15 yrs now. I have changed over time. I have changed from "sight seeing and cover maximum in limted number of days" person to "chase experiences" person.
I have changed from "find comfort zone in new places" to "accept new rules and reorient" person.
I have changed from "travel coz long weekend" to "travel when your soul asks for it" and I have truly enjoyed the transition. Travel is for all those restless souls who knows beyond the four walls, there are experiences waiting for you.
So many places and such a small life.
Vagamon is perfect example of "Great surprises comes in small packages". This place is literally one lane. It starts and ends by the time you realise you are in Vagamon.
Vagamon wont reveal itself easily. You will have to make an effort to see what great experiences it is hiding underneath. There are great hiking trails like Kurisimala or Waterfalls like Marmala or endless Rolling tea garden, but they will wait for your efforts.
Vagamon is not a place where tour guides will cover your car like honeybees. This place moves at its pace and shuts itself down by 9 pm
The fog is your contant companion during Monsoon.
The air is pure and morning starts with temple prayer chants or church bells accompanied by bird chirping. The sound is soothing and atleast it reminded of good old days of changed places such as ooty or munnar.
I loved every inch of this beauty and i hope it stays pure like this forever.
