“I am a devotee of Lord Shiva and believe in his way of simple living and one who loves mountain”
Since childhood I had a dream to visit some place which have a connection with Lord Shiva. So, in September me and Ashish decided to visit & explore “Tungnath” highest and one of the most important temples of Lord Shiva in Garwhal Himalayas.
I can describe the place in few lines below -
It’s a place which is not known by many
It’s a place which is far from our city life
It’s a place where you can be yourself
And, a place where you get everything at one place (Mountains, Clouds, Lord Shiva – a perfect combination)
Let’s talk about the Journey which started from Delhi – Rishikesh and then a bike ride to base point “Chopta” from where the trek start to Tungnath temple.
In the morning we started our bike ride from Rishikesh.
We all have a dream to do a bike ride with our loved ones in the mountain but few of us get a chance to do so. I was lucky that I got the chance to do it and I loved it (the cold breeze when it comes to you it make you feel so fresh and the picturesque view took my heart and I was above the clouds like really it was mesmerizing).
We stayed at a beautiful tent in Chopta which was full of luxuries and the people were also very friendly and caring.
Next day, when we started our trek to the temple the weather was not that good, but we didn’t lose hope. I must say that unpredictable weather made the whole journey more beautiful and adventures.
After reaching the temple we both were awestruck by the beauty of the temple and it was dream come true. The serenity at that place is incomparable. It was calm and peaceful when we saw the snow-covered mountains right in front of us.
In the end would like to just say this journey changed me as a person it made me more calm, stronger & confident and it also made be fell in love with mountains again.
