Assemble at the ISBT Kashmiri Gate at 8 pm to board the Dehradun bound state roadways bus. Carried my packed dinner and water for the journey.
Arrive at Dehradun at 5 am. Board another bus from ISBT Dehradun to Pantwari (via Mussoorie road). Driving time to Pantwari was around 4 hours, covering a distance of 100 kilometers
Arrival at Pantwari by afternoon. Started my Trek from Pantwari to Kathian Meadow (base camp for the night).
Hereafter arrival, Unpack, unwind and inhale the freshness that cities can’t afford for you, post allotment of the camps, fill our bellies with a luscious meal after which you are free to explore the local surrounding and to acclimatize.
On arrival at the Nagtibba top enjoy the 360-degree view of Bandarpoonch Peak, the Gangotri group of peaks, Kedarnath peak in the north, Doon valley and the snow peaks of Chanabang Himalayas. Enjoy the snow sliding, make snowman etc.
Enjoy the evening bonfire, with soup and popcorn and spend a cozy night at the base camp, Kathian Meadows.
After early morning breakfast, we start our trek. Pantwari to Nagtibbais a short easy hike of 4 km with gradually ascending altitude which will take about 3-4 hours. The trail is well marked for the first one and a half km (unless snow covers the whole area).
After spending some time at the Nagtibba top, we descend back to our base camp Kathiyan where we will have our evening snacks and camp for the night.
Next day, we decend back to Pantwari within 3 hrs. took a bus from pantwari to Dehradun. From Dehradun , we boarded a state bus to Delhi.
All together, it was an easy trek for me. we can even complete this trek within 2 day also. Hope , you like my trek story!
