Mukteshwar a hilly village:
On the month of March, when sun takes extra warmth to heat the surface and air turns more windy and hot, people often say "Garmi padne lagi ab" , so to get some chilly days on this holi holidays we planned for an offbeat destination that is Mukteshwar.
Since all the hill stations have the same crisp feelings, and the crowd generally fill all the minute spaces of Nainital & Mussorrie... our thought to choose this destination was to get somewhere where we can enjoy and stay peacefully.
We boarded to Neelkanth Campsite, its a camp based resort with a wild trek to reach the rooms, with nice food and decent crowd. The resort also provide paid bonfire with music till 10 pm. The best part of this resort is it comes with iconic hill view rooms. It also provides personal camps where you will get "All camping wali feeling with a bonfire".
For a short peaceful stay.. i suggest,, go around to Mukteshwar. Adore the beauty of lord shiva at Mukteshwar temple, see the sunset at Chauli ki jaali and enjoy the serenity away from crowd.
