Rishikesh... rejuvenate your soul

Checked into - blue jays hostel in Tapovan rishikesh...  It Was raining... Took an umbrella just to do some Caffè hopping.....

Went to the Ganga view cafe.. Had a coffee and enjoyed the rain with a spinach soup... They do serve good and cheap food. Went back to the hostel around 9 in the evening.. As all of the markets tend to close at this time... Enjoyed some cold breeze on the laxman Jhula while my way back.

Woke up late  and went to have My lunch amid heavy rain again..went to the cafe welcome krishna and had some puri bhaji... The food was delicious.. I ll say the best in the town I had.... Then went on to explore the streets of rishikesh... Found a ghat.. Very silent and soothing... The wind was cold and there was so much peace there.. Sat there for 2 hrs.. And my word!!! I didn't feel that I was here since 2 hours when I got up to go back.. It was a very peaceful place.. Very silent.. It was on the way of ram Jhula..almost 50 Stairs go down from a street to the ghat..then went to the NEW LUCKY CAFFÈ.. just adjacent to the ganga view Caffè... The food there is better and the view is not obstructed... Plus u get to sit on the large natural  stones of the ganges and enjoy the view of the ganges while Sipping on delicious tea!!! Just take ur chair down 4 stairs and enjoy. Went back to the hostel..

Woke up to a sunny day finally!! Went to the welcome krishna Caffè again... Had some delicious veg pakodas(fritters)... Then rented a bike ROYAL ENFIELD BULLET 350 CLASSIC from the shop... For 800 rupees and your own fuel.. Went on to the NEELKANTH MAHADEV TEMPLE IT IS ABOUT 21 kms from Rishikesh.

The view from there was fantastic.. Paid my obsciences to Lord shiva and rode back enjoying the scenic beauty of the himalayas... I was on a solo trip and was asked for a lift by a guy... Dropped him to rishikesh and on  the way saw this beautiful and unexplored waterfall and cave en route...it was sheer bliss sitting there for some time and listening to the sound of the falling water of the ganges. Came back and went on to welcome krishna Caffè to have My lunch... A veg Indian thali.. That was delicious... Then again went to New lucky Caffè.. Had some Maggie and their pastry...It was all very delicious...Sat their, listened to some good music and read some good books and then Went back to the hostel..

Woke up... Returned the bike and went straight to welcome krishna Caffè to have a masala dosa... Then went towards the ram Jhula.. The way is very serene and peaceful.. Then comes the street full of ashrams and temples... Went to the last towards the Beatles Ashram.. Sat their at the  natural Ganga beach just outside the ahsram and calmed myself.. Sat their for a long time.. Then I realized that the ashram closes the entry at 4 and exit at 4:45 pm.

Came out of the Beatles Ashram and went to see the Ganga arati at parmarth niketan.. The arati was blissful.. Enjoyed a lot... And then went out to explore and taste some street food there... Tried a fruit called RAM PHAL.. Some fried potatoes and kulcha chana... It was all delicious... Then sat at the ghats there... And found a man performing the Ganga arati all by himself... I stood near him. And took the Prasadam... Then went back to the hostel... The trip was ended... Enjoyed alot... And found myself back  at this beautiful place... Rafting and other activities I had already covered last time when I came to rishikesh... But this time was special and splendid!!!!
