Day 1

The hill town of Ranikhet, which has the
literal translation of "Queens Land," is a
year-round destination for nature lovers. Ranikhet is a location that captures the
essence of the magnificent Himalayas.
At 1,829 meters above sea level,
the picturesque hill town of Ranikhet is
situated in Uttarakhand's Almora district.

I'm going to talk to you about my trip to
Ranikhet and the things I experienced.
After breakfast at my friend's
home, we set out on our excursion. We then traveled to Binsar Mahadev Mandir

1- Binsar mahadev

This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. No doubt, this place is really very calm and beautiful. Binsar Mahadev is situated around 18km from Ranikhet Market. The whole place is covered by trees. I never saw this kind of path earlier.

2  Haidakhan temple

This temple is situated around 3.7km from Ranikhet Market. This place is dedicated to meditation. In my Kumaon Garhwal journey, I found that there are many places that were established for meditation purposes. And this place is one of them. The most beautiful thing about this place is seeing the Himalayas. All the peaks are visible from this place. And they look very beautiful.

3- Kumaon Regiment Museum

Ranikhet served as the established location for
the Kumaon regiment's headquarters. The Kumaon Regiment's Regiment Center was
established in Ranikhet in May 1948. The first award, known as the Vir Chakra,  was given to this regiment. The initial Param
Vir Chakra went to Major Somnath
Sharma. The Kumaon and Naga regiments both  have their headquarters in this location. An infantry unit of the Indian Army is  known as the Naga Regiment. The first battalion was created in Ranikhet, Kumaon,
in 1970, making it one of the  Indian Army's newest regiments. Most of  the recruits for the unit are from northeast  India's Nagaland. They have a museum there to visit for people's There are a few entry charges as well. But every charge is worth it. It was my first time to visit an army museum, and I really enjoyed it. Although I have very little knowledge about army things, everything there also contains some details about them, which helps me a lot to understand those things.

4: Golf Ground

I visited Ranikhet in the winter, so there were no options to visit the golf course because it was dry at that time. And I really love green, lush grounds as compared to dry ones.

5: Jhulla Devi Mandir

As we make our way back home, we conclude our trip to visit Jhula Devi Mandir. Which is basically situated near Ranikhet Market. After that, we took the route towards Chaubatiya and then went to Bhimtal.

The best things I love about Ranikhet are their low-height mountains and their serenity. The path is really very beautiful.
