Mana La pass also named as Chirbitya pass, Chirbitiya la pass or Dungri La pass is one of the highest altitude mountain pass of India (Uttrakhand), located in the Himalayas at an elevation of 5610 mt. or 18,406 ft above the sea level. It is located between the China-India border. It is one of the highest motor vehicle-accessible pass. This is India's second-highest and world's third-highest mountain motorable pass. Saraswati River which is one of the tributaries for the Alaknanda river is sourced from Mana Pass. Mana La can only be visited with the permission of the Indian army.
Traveling to Mana La can also result in altitude sickness and due to lack of oxygen, breathing may become difficult. If you are an adventure lover and love taking risks then surely this trip is for you.

The first stoppage - Rishikesh (For night stay)
As there is a lot of traffic on the way of Haridwar and Rishikesh, so it's better to stay in Rishikesh and enjoy thereby taking bath in Ganga and then leave from there, early in the morning. It took more than 7 hours to reach Rishikesh from Delhi in case of traffic.
Second Stoppage - Joshimath (For night stay)
On the way from Rishikesh to Joshimath, there are mesmerizing views of the prayags which you will adore. If you want to enjoy the sangam between the rivers you can stop by to see the beautiful views of it in Devprayag and Rudraprayag.
It is very necessary to take an army permit from Joshimath to go to the highest altitude peak of Mana La, otherwise, it will become impossible for you to go there.
Third Stoppage: Mana La (The Final Destination)
The roads of the Mana La pass are very dangerous. Also, the route has poor road conditions and snow can also come at any time. So, extra caution will be needed while driving. On the way back you must also visit Mana Village which is in the district of Chamoli. The Mana Village is Known to be the last village from the India-China border. It is also famous for its last tea stall, last post office, and the last school. Everything about mana is termed as the "last" and thus makes it a great tourist attraction.
Fourth Stoppage: Joshimath (For night Stay)
From Mana La, return with a lot of memories and adventures to Joshimath and spend time over there enjoying.
