I was waiting for six months to get an opportunity to go on a trip. It finally happened when the plan to visit Mukteshwar and Nainital came into play. It was a sudden plan made at 12am.

Me and my friend started from our hometown Bareilly in the morning at 6:30.
Those who don't know, Bareilly is only 140Kms from Nainital.

[ First thing first, before reaching Uttarakhand, one needs to have an e-pass made without which there is no entry into Uttarakhand. For stay, Covid test report is required. ]

The road is very bad as soon as you cross UP border and it consumes a lot of time. Anyhow, we reached Bhimtal at 8:30 and and had breakfast in a shop just near the lake.

We cancelled our plan to visit Naukuchiatal (10km from Bhimtal ) since we were on a tight schedule.

We left for for Mukteshwar at 9:20am which is 45 kms from Bhimtal.  We took a shorter route on the way at around 11am unknowingly which I won't advice to anyone going to Mukteshwar as that shorter route has almost no road [ you will notice the diversion automatically ]. That route will slow you down considerably and definite wear & tear of your vehicle parts will occur. Taking the longer route is advisable . One way is from Bhowali and one from Bhimtal itself.

Upon reaching Mukteshwar somehow dealing with the pothole filled road at 12:20pm, without wasting any time and energy, we asked locals about the rock that looks like the edge of the world. We came to know that the name of the place is "Chauli ki jaali"(Photos attached ).

And yes,  Maggie there was the best I had in a while. We did photography, had tea and lunch and took in the scenery while exploring Mukteshwar. The weather was cool and the air was calm which was much needed.

We left for Nainital at 2:30 pm and reached there at 4:15pm. Roamed Mall road for an hour , did a little shopping, did not click any pictures and then left for home. It takes exact 4.5 hours to reach home from Nainital. So I was back in my home at 9:45pm fully drenched in sweat and dirt from the bad condition of roads. But all's well that ends well.

It's not a much detailed description, but it was also a day ride so I guess it's okay.

The one day ride was a huge success as the mood was refreshed , got to visit two places in one day and most Importantly, got to ride my bike again for this much distance after a very long time.
