How To Reach :

By Air: Jolly Grant Airport of Dehradun is the nearest airport of Mussoorie. This airport is connected to all the major airports of the country via New Delhi. To reach Mussoorie from Jolly Grant you need to hire a taxi or board on a bus. You can even get cars from Indira Gandhi International Airport, the second nearest one from Mussoorie.

By Train: Bunches of trains offer connectivity between major cities of India and Dehradun, the nearest railway destination of Mussoorie. Local bus and taxi services are available throughout the day that drops you in your preferred destination of Mussoorie.

Mussoorie Lake: Surrounded by Doon valley and mist and meadows of hills, Mussoorie Lake is one of the major attractions of tourists. Visitors can even enjoy boating in this man-made lake of Mussoorie, situated in Dehradun- Mussoorie Road. A nominal fee is charged to enter the lake.

Lal Tibba: From this highest point of this locality you can enjoy the beauty of Banderpoonch range, Nilkantha peak and Kedarnath peak with the telescopes. The picturesque view of the surroundings remains in the heart of visitors forever.

Kempty Falls: Enjoy the 40 feet Kempty Falls located on the Dehradun-Mussoorie road. To cherish the beauty of this fall, do not forget to have a ride in Kempty Falls ropeway. You can even enjoy the short swim in this falls.

Gun Hill: Gun Hill with its splendid natural beauty is the second highest peak of the hill station from where you can enjoy a great view of the surrounded Himalayan range. 400-meter Ropeway ride from this point to land is undoubtedly a thrilling experience that every visitor want to taste.

Bhatta Falls: This must-visit for nature lovers is nearly 7 km from Mussoorie. It is also popular as a picnic spot.

However, March to June is considered as Mussoorie best time to visit because of the favourable climatic condition. In summer the temperature of this Himalayan hill station ranges between 15 to 25 degrees Celsius. Alike other hill-stations visitors can enjoy pleasant temperature in daytime followed by a cool night. If you are planning a trek or want to spend some leisure time with your near ones it is better to plan it in summer as nature comes in full for you. However, to explore the great Mussoorie snowfall make a visit in winter. Between December and February temperature lower the freezing point and turn this popular hill station to a white wonderland. Those who wish to enjoy the ethereal beauty of Mussoorie best time to visit is winter. However, it is better to avoid Mussoorie in rainy season as landslide can create a great hindrance in your enjoyment.
