As we know that all good things are wild & free, but mountains is on another level. I love oceans,beaches,forests,plains but it is the mountain that pulls me to walk deeper & deeper into their beauty.
Such is a place Majkhali.
Majkhali is a beautiful village town located at 12kms from Raniket. It is surrounded by forests & mountains & is a perfect place for digital detox.
It offers a staggering perspective of Mountain Trishul & Panchuli Range.
The trip started on an pleasant note. We(me & my husband) started our journey from Bareilly & it took 6 hours to reach there. On the way to Majkhali we enjoyed the beauty of the place Bhimtal, which is about 22kms from Nainital. The major attraction in Bhimtal is the Bhimtal lake which has an island at its centre. You can enjoy various activities in Bhimtal like boat riding, horse riding, zorbing, para gliding etc.
After spending sometime in Bhimtal we again started our journey & after few hours we finally reached Majkhali.
We were staying at Kaafal Cottage.It offers great view of mountains & the village & it is one of the best place where you can enjoy your time with family. The staffs are good, the food is delicious, the service is great & if you are there you must try some local food & drinks.
After reaching there & having our lunch we went to Ranikhet & very busy walking in the streets, eating local foods, clicking pictures.
This is how we end our first day.
The morning started with a beautiful view of mountains. The view was breathtaking.
We had our breakfast & again headback to ranikhet where we visited rani jheel, chaubhatia garden.
You can also visit bhalu dam which is a 6kms trek & a famous golf course where certain bollywood movies were shot.
There are various temples in Ranikhet like jhuladevi, shiv mandir etc.
After we were done with our visits over these places we decided to have lunch & went to a cafe called The Pine Hut Cafe. The food was yummylicious & there were many options from which you can select. The view was beautiful from the cafe. After our lunch we went for shopping in Majkhali. There is a shop named Umang. This is an excellent place for buying hand knit woollens, processed food & authentic hilly products. It is a place where you MUST VISIT.
After all the shopping & exploring Ranikhet we went back to the cottage enjoyed the sunset from the balcony.
Day 3 was the day where we decided to stay in the hotel & spend time together & enjoy sometime with our pet. The cottage is pet friendly which is another plus point of the cottage. You can play carom,roam around, enjoy bonfire,enjoy sunset & the mountains, eat delicious food.
This morning we were very sad as we were leaving this place & going back to the city.
We had our breakfast & left for bareilly with a heavy heart & a promise that we will come back again.
Note:- just avoid roaming in night as there are leopards in the forest.
