1- Bhimtal
This lake is located in Nainital district, 22 km from Nainital. From this place, the road goes to Nakuchiatal, Sattal, and Garurtal. Bhimtal Lake is the largest lake among all the lakes in Nainital district, and there is a natural island in the middle of the lakes. There are many colleges, universities, and boarding schools also in this place.
2- Nakuchiya tal
This lake is situated around 9km from Bhimtal, and Bhimtal is the only way to go to Nakuchiyatal. Personally, this lake is my favorite among all the lakes in Nainital district. The whole lake is surrounded by a dense, lush green forest. The lake is also nice and clean. There is also a lotus tal situated near the Nakuchiyatal.
3- Garur tal
This tal is situated 10 km away from Bhimtal. Local people believe that whirlpools are formed in the tal, due to which many people die here. Therefore, fewer people come to this place.
4- Saatal
This lake is situated 13km from Bhimtal and next to Garurtal. Saattal is famous for water sports. A lot of people visit this place to enjoy the nature. Sattal is divided into two tals by the bridge.
5- Nainital
The famous Nainital is situated 43km from Haldwani. This tal is already very popular among all. It is true to say that Nainital has its own colonial vibe. especially in the winter or autumn seasons. This place looks very beautiful in these two seasons.
6- khurpatal
This lake is situated 10km from Nainital city; honestly, it is not that famous, but yes, it is one of the lakes in Nainital district, surrounded by a small village. I was there only for 10–15 minutes and found this place really calm and peaceful.
