After reaching Dehradun, all I was excited is to meet my fellow travelers with whom I'm gonna spend the next five days with. The first connect was kinda awkward but time went by we started becoming one of the weirdest group as if we were one friends in another world. 😁
The day started with our guide explaining our next destination 'Juda ka Talab'. We started trekking at a temperature of 5 degrees. The walk towards Juda ka Talab was a mixture of greenery and patches snow and the sight was a bliss. Many trekkers were coming down and were telling us how amazing the peak looks.
After reaching the campsite. The fun with the like minded gang was the lit part. We started playing games in our tents and we dint know that time was running by.
Finally, our guide had to separate us and put us to sleep so that we could wake up early for a healthy next day. 😂
Hailing from the hottest city in India, all you can say from the pic is 'I'm really excited to see snow for the first time' 😀
The next day we woke up at 8am, took a short walk to Kedarkantha base camp. The camp started snowing as the temperature reached to -5 degree. Our guide reminded us to wake up at 2am for the summit and to see the sunrise. He also told us that if it starts snowing, we will not be able to make it to the peak.
I started to pray that it should be the perfect climate to make it to the peak and as usual the guide had to separate our group and put us to sleep.
The summit day was the most exciting day for all of us but unfortunately we had to leave the campsite at 4am since some of us were not feeling good. We started Motivating everyone and thankfully it wasnt snowing and so we could start moving towards the summit.
It was 5.30am and we are halfway through the summit where two of our friends were feeling low. We started to help them but one of them had to return due to breathing problem. The other pack were so determined and we started to march to the peak.
After a heavy struggle due to Blizzard, we finally made it to the peak. 😎 It was like a victory for all of us and some even started to cry. We then moved down to our base camp. The fun part was sliding down the snow to our base camp. 😉
Then we had to go to Hargaon where our tents were pitched for the night stay. Since this was our last tent stay, we started to party with dance, dumb charades and the might truth or dare 😆 Our guide as usual had to separate us and put us to sleep as it was 11am already.
Today is the last day of the trek. We all woke up with sadness as everyone started thinking of 'back to work life'. We decided to have the best fun while walking down and started singing songs and play with snow the entire trek. The trek made a lot of memories and the best part was the gang of 4 guys and 3 girls. We never met before but after the trek we were like friends for a lifetime. We captured our moments to look back but the best part of all I could say is our friendship.
We reached Sankri and departed with our last words to everyone 'see you again'.
