Due to bad weather and heavy snowfall in the Garhwal Himalayas, the registration of pilgrims for the Kedarnath yatra has been suspended in Rishikesh and Haridwar until April 30. The state government has advised the pilgrims to check the weather forecast before embarking on the yatra and to carry warm clothing. The government will review the weather conditions and take necessary decisions to ensure the safety of the pilgrims. Meanwhile, authorities face challenges in clearing the snow accumulated on the footpaths.

While medical arrangements have been made along the Yatra routes, the pilgrims may face difficulties due to the weather. The government is committed to ensuring a smooth and safe journey for the pilgrims and regularly monitors the arrangements.

On the other hand, the registration for the other three Dhams - Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri - is currently underway. While the shrines of Gangotri and Yamunotri have already opened, Badrinath Dham will open on April 27.

The Chardham Yatra has already witnessed registration from over 16 lakh people from India and abroad.
