We begin our journey to Jageshwar Mandir after arriving in Almora(in December 2022). The ancient temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva, is thought to have been built by Adi Shankaracharya. The Katyuri dynasty later gave it a new coat of paint.
One of the largest clusters of temples in the world is found in Jageshwar Dham. Within its complex, there are more than 124 temples, both large and small. This temple was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2016.
On their approach to Kailash Mansarovar, travellers were expected to stop here to worship Lord Shiva and ask for his blessings.
We chose to visit a tiny museum close to the mandir after visiting the temple and receiving blessings from Mahadev. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) have setup a Museum near the temple. With no entry fees.
There is a difference in the temple's energy.After staying there for almost three and a half hours, we drove towards Almora because we had made the decision to travel to Ranikhet the same day.
