Well! Why did i say so ?
Bcz its a place where every structure and every lane is entwined in the fabric of Beauty and Simplicity.
Har(Shivji) Dun (Valley) :- A Place believed to a valley of gods or Shiva, Wherein a clan of people declares themselves as the heirs of Duryodhan and has a dedicated Duryodhan temple to worship makes it different in every way.
This December I decided to experience its Simplicity and Purity which for quite a while i was out of touch with.
Har-ki-dun trek starts from Taluka village which is around 27 kms away from the valley. However, as soon as I started trekking, the complete experience left me spell-bounded. Even today, i don't have words to describe its magnetism. Isn't it strange that we are always short of words while describing something beautiful ?. Thus, instead of writing much about it, I will show you how magnificent this place is and why it should be in your bucket list.
1. Get a chance to see Duryodhana temple in Osla (Osla is the last village on the way to Har-ki-Dun Valley).
2. Blend in with the locals, Just hang around a while to see how the other part of the world looks like.
3. Its is one of the few places where kids still gets excited to see you and will welcome you ,if not with open arms then with their pretty smile.
4. Where sunrise looks like this:-
And Sunset like this:-
5. A Place which makes your sky "full of stars".
6. A place where you can cherish Parle-G dipped in Chai kind of conversation.
7. A place where everything is frozen,Locals have no water to drink during winters but still slaying with firmness.
8. Where people will not only appreciate but also support your in-sanity.
9. A place where you can see two sides of life. One being blessed and other being cursed by Sun.
10. A place where people can proudly say "Ki agar tent me 3 logo ki garmi lagegi to neend achi aeygi".
11. A place where every family knows the benefits of storage and keeps their supplies ready.
12. For this eternal beauty
13.And where you can make 21 strangers your friends.
I don't know whether these clicks can justify even 10% of what I experience there but it will surely act as a trigger.
This place further increase my respect and fascination towards the Himalayas. So until next time...
