As we all know- Rishikesh is world famous for its adventurous activities- Rafting, Bungee, Giant Swing, Cliff Jumping, what not? And being very fond of adventure, Rishikesh was in my bucket list since forever. Here are three days itinerary and some of my favorite photos from my first ever Solo Trip to RISHIKESH. For the first day, I chose camping and trekking so that I can get comfortable to the place & people and feel less nervous. There are multiple riverside camps in Rishikesh which will provide you with all more than basic facilities and good food as well :-). For one night stay at camp, it costs me INR 1500 (approx.) which includes stay, food and Rafting as well.

Day 2

Day 2 includes Raftingggggggg :P Rafting costs around INR 600-1500 (depending upon distance of your rafting). Rafting package includes rafting, Cliff Jumping, Body Surfing with no additional cost. All required safety gears are also provided in same cost.

Day 1

Trekked for almost 1.5 KM upwards towards Patna Waterfalls. Patna Waterfall has water throughout the year and attract huge crowd in summer season. Day 1 was all about camping, trekking, making new friends, chilling in tents and eating Chai & Maggi :D

After Rafting I proceeded towards my hostel, which I had already booked online. For reducing my trip cost, I preferred staying in hostel this time. A descent hostel can be booked at INR 500-1500 for 1 day/night stay. In the afternoon, I went for lunch in nearby cafe. Rishikesh has varieties of cafes & restaurants serving different cuisines like Italian, chinese, Indian, Thai, South Indian and authentic continental.

After Lunch, I went on exploring nearby places including the famous Laxman Jhula and Tera Manzil Temple (as name suggests itself, temple building has 13 floors).

In the evening, I went for Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. The Sun was setting and preparations of Ganga Aarti had already started. Chanting of Pooja Mantras, sound of bells and echo of prayers- all were creating an all together different atmosphere.

Third and Last day of my trip was reserved for Bungee Jumping and Giant Swing. The cost of my whole trip was INR 7,500 (approx.) excluding Bungee Jumping and Giant Swing. Both these activities costed me additional INR 7,500. These are fixed prices.

Completing Bungee Jumping and Giant Swing took almost 5 hours. As the jump site/location is not located in city, it took me a good 1 hour to reach at the location. Please note, during the peak season one should try to reach at Jump site/location early in the morning otherwise you will not get a chance of jump due to limited number of jumps allowed in one day.

So here ends my Trip, for any questions & feedback please comment. Till then, Keep Travelling... :-)

Ticked off Solo Trip from Bucket list and planning for next Trip....:D
