Drive to Rishikesh and Lansdowne....
One fine evening me and my cousin decided to have a short drive - so we took car and planned to leave delhi around 9-10pm, we started exactly around 10pm and reached Haridwar around 3am early morning - 3:30AM we were at Har ki Pauri... drive was good and roads were empty considering Holi and night as well. Had one stoppage for Maggi and Aaloo ka paranthas :-)
Smooth drive till Haridwar.. and then we headed towards Rishikesh- our camp Rewind. Most of the camps are now closed due to govt restrictions.
Thats correct also - people are actually making ganga dirty - due to the camping sites - ganga's pollution has increased.
After camping in Rishikesh for 2 nights - we headed towards Lansdowne via Kotdwar - the drive is again beautiful. Had tasty samosas and gujiya in Kotdwar :-)
It was a pain driving back from cool fresh breeze, greenery towards dull and monotonous life !!!
Lansdown the place is not huge, its a small hill but the views are just amazing - may be because of the weather but it was worth visiting...
