Budget trip to Snow Kingdom - Auli

Auli during winter is paradise and to witness this , we started our journey from Delhi by bus till Rishikesh, reached Rishikesh by 3 AM.

Note :- You have two options to reach Joshimath, by Bus / shared sumo.

Bus Fare is around Rs 350

Shared Sumo takes around Rs 600

We took shared cab from Rishikesh bus stand, and reached Joshimath at 7:30 PM, as there is road construction for Char Dham Project going on throughout the whole route, so it is adviced to start as early as possible and cross half distance before the construction timing starts.

Note :- Start as early as possible from Rishikesh/Dehradun to reach Joshimath early.

Nandprayag

Karnprayag

We stayed for night at Hotel Trishul in Joshimath , it is an average hotel with very good location and view ,and near to Ropeway.

We were lucky to witness National Sking Competiotion , which lead to crowding at Joshimath and Ropeway

We took ropeway from Joshimath to Auli, it costs Rs 1000 per head for round trip, ropeway will take you to the top of Auli , view from here is breathtaking, one can see Nanda Devi peak.

We enjoyed sking played in snow and returned back to Joshimath by ropeway.

Upon returning back to Joshimath we visited Vsishnuprayag
