Just returned last week from the trip to rohtang but as we all know that
'Once the travel bug bites there is no know antidote except travel itself'
So we wanted to go somewhere again, our partners on our last ride were not willing to go so it was only Rashish and me this time.
Confused on our thoghts for the new destination we ended up with Gangotri this tme and believe me guys we had no idea about gangotri,we had not done any kind of research on it. but on the same thought that our India runs (jo hoga dekha jaega) we left the next morning.
It was a long break and we continued our journey to rishikesh.
we had decided to cover as much as possible and when we were about to cross Rishikesh we stopped to know the road and weather condition of Gangotri and there someone told us that roads are ok but you wont get snow there,u will only get snow in Badrinath and he also told us not to continue our journey as it was not safe.
so we decided to have a stay in Rishikesh itself and also had changed our destination to Badrinath.
Next morning we were on our way to passing by all the views and mountains. It was first time we had gone beyond Rishikesh in Uttrakhand.
After stopping for these pictures we stopped for some tea. At the tea shop we met a biker who was coming from Badrinath, we asked about the condition of roads to Badrinath and he told that the conditions was very bad, there are huge water crossings and very slusshy and muddy roads, he himself fell twice and suggested us not to go there. So now we shifted our destination to Kedarnath. We had no knowledge about that place except that a massive cloudburst had led to a major mishapp two years ago.
Afetr reaching at the base point of Kedarnath trek we came to know that there was a 16kms trek to reach Kedarnath temple. the day ha almost ended so it was no chance for us to start the trek at that very moment so we took a hotel in Sitapur(3kms away from trek start point)
In front of our lodge a bhandara was going on and to my surprise chowmine and coffee was being served. This was irst time i had seen such a bhandara
In the night while having dinner at the lodge we asked the owner about the nature of the trek. He told that it was not a easy one, many people do it in two days and some complete it in a single day.We had only one day because we had to catch our trains from Delhi on the 3rd day. so we decided that we will start the trek and complete whatever distance would be possible.
Next morning we woke up and left for the trek. After having our medical check up and registering ourselves we left for trek. Rashish on the start only said he will not be able to do it in a single day and i continued the trek as i had thought but after going for 3kms i also realised that it was not possible to complete it in a single day. So i returned from that point and came back to the hotel and we left for Delhi the next morning .
