Day 1

I had early morning flight to Delhi. So started from my room around at 4 took my flight and reached Delhi by 10. Met with others who were to be the best trek partners for next 10 days. From Delhi we took train at 3 and reached Haridwar in late evening. We preferred to have dinner and take rest to make ourself fit for upcoming treks.

Day 2

Early morning we had our breakfast and started for Jyoshimath. It was a full day bus journey along side tall Himalaya. You might have heard sometimes it is not about destination but about the journey. Actually it was. As long as you are with Himalaya you can't get bored. It is so big so beautiful so great in so many ways how much you try you can't get over it.
On the way there are small dhabad where we had our food and yum Nimbu Pani. We reached in evening and spent our night in Jyoshimath.

Day 3

Early morning view in Jyoshimath was breathtaking. We then were just imagining how The Himalaya will unfold to us in our upcoming days. Everyday it was like dream come true for us.

We started our trek from Govindghat. There are options of porters and mules for those who can't carry their luggage or prefer to go as ride instead of trek. We sent our luggage through mule and it charged us 1600 for two mules. The journey here onwards became most memorable and most tough at the same time as apart from three members in the team all of us were newbie in treking and were really not so much into fitness. I hardly ever run or go gym. There are three more guys like me. For us it was little tough. But slow and steady wins the race. 😊 We continued our journey slowly while enjoying the trail. There are stalls for food and drinks all over the trek so we took rest and had our foods and drinks whenever we were tired.

We reached Ghangaria in the evening before it was dark. Everyone started jumping to bed and hiding inside blankets due to cold there and due the tiredness of long full day trek except me. Nature always excites me. Ghangaria is not like any other base camp. It is like a small village. You have shops hotels. I went on a small walk to explore the small and beautiful Ghangaria. My heart was jumping with happiness with madness my mind was full of excitement and my legs were breaking with pain and I listened to my heart and tried to walk and the walk that night didn't disappointed me. The evening view of that small village top of Himalaya was so beautiful I wish I could do justice by pics. I had hot Momos and tea in a small restaurant and for the first time got involved in a political discussion with three elderly people. Everything was so much fun. The day ended really well.

Day 4

I have allergy and have very bad immunity so I tend to fall sick for silly reasons. So as expected I had caught fever next day. I don't give much importance to sickness else I can't dare for a Himalayan trek. I knew I might not be able to trek to Valley of flowers with such fever so I opted for porter. My trek mates enjoyed trekking to valley Of Flowers. To my luck porters and mules are easily available in Ghangaria. The trek with help of porter was not less exciting either. We had our own talks whole way about the place, Himalaya the hilly people and so many other things.

And finally I reached my destination. The journey was too beautiful and destination made me speechless too. Pictures don't do justice cause you can't capture the whole valley in ur camera the way it is. It is not planned garden, flowers will not be in row. It is very random. It is God's garden hundreds of flowers grown randomly anywhere and everywhere. And in between those streams of crystal clear water just increases the beauty to hundred time.

Day 5

Next day the plan was to Hemkund. I and one two of my trek mates opted for mule as I had fever and he was tired and other opted for trekking. There you need to reach before 12 atleast. By 1 or 2 the gurdwara closes. So if you planning to take holy dip in Hemkund you need to reach before 12 finish your dip and visit gurudwara. The Prasad in gurudwara is awsome and free. And the hot khichdi and chai and hot water also you get there everything is free. The Hemkund is another breathtakingly beautiful.

We started around 2 or 2:30 and by evening we reached ghangaria. While coming back I opted to trek as coming back won't be that difficult and I was missing trekking by then.

Evening in ghangaria we took some food massage. One uncle is there his foot massage is awsome. He reminded me of my grandma. It took away half of our pain just after massage and next day we were quite better with out leg.

Day 6

Next day morning we started trekking down from ghangaria and it took us 4-5 hours. Luckily sun also was not harsh that day. After reaching down we took taxi and started to Badrinath and by afternoon we were in Badrinath. We finished our late lunch took little rest for a while and evening went to the temple. There is something in these old temples you can feel it. I feel it always hope everyone feel the same way. :-)

Night we roamed around and took rest.

Day 7

Next day we trekked to Mana the last village of India. It is three km from Badrinath. Very small village standing in the laps of Himalaya. Standing at the end of our land touching the himalaya which is standing for protection is a different feeling.

Day 8

Next day early morning we started back to Rishikesh. Again full day drive witnessing beauty of Himalaya both side and the rivers flowing giving company to us. The journey through Himalaya and destination in himalaya both compete with each other making you hypnotized. You can never say which made you more spell bound the journey or the destination

Evening we reached Rishikesh. I took rest and others went for a visit in the city.

Day 9

Next day morning we went to visit Gange, Ram setu and the temples. Then my trek mates started to Haridwar and I stayed back as I had the bus in the night from Rishikesh. I watched the evening Ganga Aarati another this which is not to be miss in Rishikesh and Haridwar. I said my goodbye to Himalaya and Gange with a promise to come back again immediately after Aarati headed towards my bus stop to start for Delhi. And next day early morning was to be last day of journey ending at my home in odisha my.
