A blissful weekend in Bhimtal, with a day excursion to Nainital

Drove from Moradabad to Bhimtal, via Rudrapur, Haldwani. The roads in Uttarakhand are good and one section between Rampur and Rudrapur is bad. once we got past Haldwani, the ascent up to Bhimtal was very picturesque. Weather in August was nice and cool and we just faced one spell of rain. The first impression on reaching Bhimtal was a sudden quite, serene and blissful feeling. If you are looking to cool your heals and do nothing in particular and wanna spend time with yourself then it's a great place to be. We took a day excursion to Nainital, which was pretty crowded. Though the Naini Lake is beautiful and a boat ride makes it beautiful. Do take the Ropeway cable car, to get a great glimpse Nainital in from the top.
