Aaaand we’ve left from Delhi🔥
Where are the wanderers? - The wanderers had reached Nainital to halt for lunch and then decide where to go next!!! We had options open for #Binsar and #Ranikhet, but something else was written for us. Meanwhile Bhola Paji’s gopro batteries keeping him involved😂😂
If you like this guy in the video - do follow our page and stay tuned for what’s coming ahead in the “9 din Uttarakhand in”🍻
Destination me Kya rakha hai boss - It’s the journey that matters!
While we did plan not to ride in the dark, but who cares about the plan while travelling!! This was a feel good 10 minutes halt we took for tea and we started talking to some locals. We were asked not to miss the #Panchachuli base camp if we’re spending more than a week in Uttarakhand, but since we hadn’t done our research for the same, we could not cover it, and "I’m always happy to leave places for the next time - it adds up to the motivation!!" This video is a raw footage of how we felt on finally reaching the hills after the 6 month COVID restrictions. It was sheer Happiness😊
PS - the bikes were looking so cool with the hazard lights on🖤
Concluding the day 1 in #Mukteshwar and tried hands on vlogging for the first time (there has to be something crazy while you're travelling). Do wait for the sunrise time-lapse in the vlog link below
Brownie points - When you visit to Mukteshwar, do stay in Hotel Golden Tulip and try to get the room with the balcony. You'll be amazed with the sunrise view next morning, and the accommodation is not very expensive either. We got this room for a tariff of INR 1,800 which was decent considering the property.
Day 2 - The Mukhteshwar sunrise🔥🔥
Being out first encounter with the trillion stars, we sat out in our balcony till 4am, slept for a couple of hours and did wake up at 6 because we had promised our viewers to show the perfect sunrise.
Reached the top of the Mukteshwar Maharishi temple known for its tranquil and calm environment through the 10 minutes forest hike, only to realise the view faces the west (ho gya popat).
Came down from the temple and while heading back to our hotel, saw this isolated place where Uttarakhand public transport busses were parked. Within minutes one of the drivers was convinced that we’re professional bloggers and let me mount my set-up on the roof of his bus 😍
The gopro did its part while I experienced sleeping on a bus roof!! And to our fortune, we got tea here with this view.
Got enough from Mukteshwar, we reached our hotel to take a power nap before we'd embark our journey towards Pithoragarh which we kept as a halt before Dharchula / Munsiyari because we did not want to stress ourselves. Planned to leave atleast before 10a.m., the view from our room did not let us and we somehow managed to leave Mukteshwar by noon.
Heading towards Pithoragarh, I was fortunate to experience off-roads for the first time in my life however unfortunately it was during the night. Excited and cautious, we moved slow and made it to Pithoragarh.
What happened in Pithoragarh - we finally got into our room and on the next room and teh guy staying in the next room seemed to be super-friendly (a little more than that). He even started calling on our desk-phone and it got real creepy when he bumped into our door asking us to chill with him, inviting us to his room and on being said no self inviting himself to our room (which obviously we could not let happen).
Free tip - They say its good to make friends with strangers while you travel alone - Don't!! Its dangerous! especially when you're travelling to off-beat locations. You clearly don't want to get yourself Berlin Syndrome'd.
Somehow we got rid of him (he even tried to bother us in the morning - super!) and planned our itinerary for the next day considering there were some issues with the bikes.
Despite all the hick-ups, we finally embarked our journey towards Dharchula and we were super excited for the panoramic view of India and Nepal cut in two by the river flowing in between. last couple of hours' ride was alongside the river Kali and right across the river was Nepal throughout our way. We reached Dharchula little past 8 p.m. and being a small village, there was nothing much to explore at that time. Next morning i took my bike and to the top of the hill and sat there as the sun came up.
Another day Another ride!!
Certainly we could not have enough of Dharchula, and even the bridge that connects the India - Nepal bridge was shut due to the Geo-political tensions between India and Nepal, we had to move and go on to our next destination "Munsiyari". Super excited from the morning itself as we knew this was going to be the most adventurous day of our trip and we will be experiencing abundance of water-crossings, waterfalls and off-roading all along till Munsiyari. Watch the vlogs below and witness them yourself.
And some more - we could not help stopping our bikes below the waterfall and this video shows how much we wanted to spend some more time here with this mesmerizing feel.
Super happy with the tracks, we made it to Munsiyari in daylight and the next task was to look for a campsite. Bhola Paji wanted to camp - I wanted the view. There was conflict - yet there was the acceptance. And then this happened!! Camping with bonfire is by far one of the best things that will ever happen to you 😍😍
To be continued...
