Day : 1.
As i always heared beautiful about Tungnath temple from people and about Chandrashila that it has a 360-degree view from the top. I saw so many beautiful pictures of Chandrashila trek before going there. I was pretty curious to make it happen and this is how i made it possible.
This is how i completed my trek in 3 Days:
For Chopta first you have to reach Rishikesh. as a day before i reached rishikesh and
I started my Journey towards to Chopta around 6:30am in the morning from rishikesh .
I booked a shared taxi from there, taxi journey was so comfortable. somewhere b/w Devprayag-Rudraprayag had breakfast.
After 8hours drive we reached chopta. I booked my stay with "Neelkand Camps" at chopta.
What an amazing experience it was camp gives a picture-perfect view of the place and seriously Chopta has breathtaking views of mountains. The Campsite is designed so beautifully that you will fell in love with the place
After reaching chopta had lunch at our campsite and After lunch we went back to the camps. By evening around 6pm, I trek near above our campsite and enjoyed the beautiful sunset there. What a Mesmerising sunset it was. It was truly pure awesome.
after watching the sunset I came down, had dinner and went back to the camps and sleep. beacuse the next day was our Chandrashila trekking day.
So here is the next beautiful morning and today I'm gonna share you the experience that how I did Tungnath trek in very harsh conditions.
So after breakfast we left from our campsite for the trek.
Tungnath is one of the "Highest Shiva Temple" in the world, which is 3.5kms from Chopta.
we started our trek from Chopta around 10am. in-between crossed very large bugyal there which was so green in the month of April.
There was very heavy snowing during my trek, complete trekking trails was covered with full of snow, weather was extremely bad.
After Continues 2.30 hours of trekking we reached Tungnath Temple. as i reached the temple suddenly snow started falling. but finally we made it before starting snowfall. temple was completly covered almost with 4-5feet snow.
Tungnath trek trail is very steep and in the snowing weather it is actually tough beacuse all the trek get covered with snow and there is chances to fall down.
Tungnath Temple kapat was closed in the month of April. as you know temple will open with all Panch Kedar's.
After Darshan of "Bhole Nath" we're moved towards to Chandrashila summit , but when I saw it'll gonna so difficult to reaching there beacuse of snowing weather. I decided to back out. Because conditions were so risky, people hiking in the snow with the help of Palm. They're trying to making foot paths with the panch of Pam's/fingers and shoes.
so i decided to leave the summit and i came down to chopta from tungnath temple. after an hour we reached chopta and came back to our campsite. had dinner at campsite and sleep.
So this is our 3rd day. woke up with fresh morning, had breakfast with mesmerising mountains view at our campsite. and around by 8am we left for sari Village.
DeoriaTal is an 3kms easy trek with steep trekking trails. this is very small lake, reached after a short hike from sari Village. it tooks 1.5 hours to reach the lake.
Lake was so beautiful as i saw in pictures before. beautiful trek with stunning views. after spending an hour at the lake side, we down back to sari Village. had lunch at sari and drive back to rishikesh.
and we reached rishikesh by same night.
