If you are visiting the West Coast, then you must visit Las Vegas. We all have seen the city in the movies and it is definitely worth visiting at least once. It is a small city, you make sure you book your hotel at 'The Strip'. 'The Strip' is a small area where all your major hotels, casinos, pubs are located and it is the most happening area in Vegas.
Las Vegas is known for its party scenes, gambling, concerts, shows, etc. It might get a little overwhelming initially with all the crowd and the lights. If you are in for a crazy weekend then Las Vegas is the place to be.
We stayed at 'The Linq' Hotel which was right on the strip. Most of the hotels have their own casinos and if you do not want to explore much, you can just head down for some gambling.
During the day, you can explore the city and visit different hotels. You can explore the different magnificent architecture hotels and buildings which will definitely amaze you. You can find a bit of a replica of different cities. You can see an Eiffel tower, a pyramid-style hotel that resembles the Pyramid of Egypt, the Taj Mahal of India, a bit of New York skyline, Venice, etc.
You ought to visit the Caeser Palace Hotel! It is massive, grand and stunning! During your day time, make sure to visit 'The Forum Shops' at Caesar Palace which is known as 'the shopping wonder of the world.' It is more than a shopping destination. The architecture is gorgeous. You will find a lot of gigantic beautiful statues, restaurants to eat, high-end brands, etc.
During the evening/ night time, you can do some gambling and of course some drinking!! You can also witness the Bellagio Fountain which is stunning.
One of the nights, make sure to visit the Downtown area that is Freemont Street. Freemont Street will give you the exact opposite experience from 'The Strip.' Freemont street is known for its old-style hotels, old-style bars and pubs and a lot of street performances. It is loud, it will take you back to the 70's era. You can witness the light show on the lit-up dome that covers the Freemont street. Do not get startled if you see some naked street performances. You will also get to see the historic casinos like the gold nugget where you can see the largest gold nugget - 'the Hand of Faith Nugget', the Binions hotel where you can click a picture with one million dollars stacked up cash.
The next day, once you are recovered from all the hangovers, you can make a trip to the Hoover Dam which is just a 45 minutes ride from Las Vegas. Hoover Dam was built to save the surrounding communities from the wrath of the Colorado River, which was known for habitually flooding and causing all sorts of issues. It is right at the center of the Nevada - Arizona border. Park your car at one of the parking, walk the area and explore the beauty of this dam.
Three days is more than enough for you to cover Las Vegas! It is definitely worth the visit. Make sure to have a little fun when you are there. There is no harm in going a little crazy when you are the 'Sin City.' Enjoy some amazing food and drinks, gamble the right amount, just make sure you have enough money to head back, and explore the beautifully lit city!
